God’s Big Tapestry

It occurred to me as I was writing my Sunday sermon on the Bread of Life, that Jesus was born in Bethlehem—”the house of bread.” Now this town had received it’s name more than 2000 years before Christ’s birth.
God moved that it should bear this name as a part of His big tapestry. Just a stitch in time, yet another witness to God’s immense plan of redemption.

Similarly, our labors are but a small portion of His vast harvest but no less important. Seemingly insignificant events in our eyes can be God’s divine appointing! It just takes moving back a bit to see the big picture of God’s redemptive plan. Then, we can get back to making our stitch for Him.
